PURPOSE: To heighten volumetric efficiency and heat insulating efficiency by arranging means to apply force in the direction for negating force trying to separate a pair of scroll parts from each other, in parts of respective rotary shafts formed integrally with respective end plates in the pair of scroll parts, by means of electromagnetic force.
CONSTITUTION: A two-motor system scroll type compressor has end plates 1a and 2a arranged integrally on the opposed inner edge sides of coaxial rotary shafts 11 and 12, and scroll laps formed on the opposed inner surfaces of the respective end plates 1a and 2a are meshed with each other. The respective rotary shafts 11 and 12 are supported pivotally, respectively in parts in the vicinity of the end plates by means of journal sliding bearings 3K and 4K and in the other end part by means of a rolling bearing 10a, and rotors 7b and 8b of induction motors 7 and 8 are fixed to the intermediate part. In this case, permanent magnets lie and 12e are arranged in the end parts of the respective rotary shafts 11 and 12, and permanent magnets 13c and 14c whose same poles are respectively opposed to the respective permanent magnets 11e and 12e are arranged on the inner surfaces of the side walls 13 and 14, and the rotary shafts 11 and 12 are energized inward.
