Abstract:
To provide a control method for a rotary electric machine and a control device for a rotary electric machine that can smoothly switch a rotation state estimation method while maintaining control stability when estimating the rotation state of the rotary electric machine, which is an electric motor or a generator, without using a sensor such as a resolver.SOLUTION: The rotation state of a rotary electric machine is estimated, and the rotary electric machine is controlled according to the estimated rotation state. A first estimated value, which is an estimated value of the rotation state, is calculated by a first estimation method based on the current of the rotary electric machine. A second estimated value, which is the estimated value of the rotation state, is calculated by a second estimation method based on the current and voltage of the rotary electric machine. When switching between the first and second estimation methods, the final estimated value, which is an estimated value of the final rotation state, is calculated using the first estimated value and the second estimated value. Then, when the first estimated value and the second estimated value are calculated, the first estimated value and the second estimated value are corrected on the basis of the previous value of the final estimated value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
