Abstract:
To provide a rotary electric machine with which low cost, downsizing and high output are achieved in addition to excellent productivity, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A rotor comprises: a rotor core; a plurality of permanent magnets each constituting a magnetic pole, which are embedded into the rotor core and are arrayed in a circumferential direction; and a field winding. The rotor core includes a base part to which a rotation shaft is fixed at a shaft center position; a plurality of winding parts each to which an insulation member around which the field winding is wound is attached, which is provided so as to protrude outward in a radial direction from the base part to a position in the circumferential direction that corresponds to each of the plurality of permanent magnets; a plurality of inter-polar core parts provided at respective inter-polar positions; and a plurality of connection parts each for connecting adjacent winding parts in the circumferential direction with the inter-polar core parts, outwardly in the radial direction of the field winding. The rotor core is divided into an inner side core provided with at least the base part and the plurality of winding parts, and an outer side core provided with at least the plurality of connection parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
