Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper device that can effectively absorb vibrational energy of a blade, and a rotating machine that comprises the damper device.SOLUTION: A damper device 20 of a blade 10 of a rotating machine comprises one or more damping materials 24 housed in one or more cavities 22 formed on at least one of a shroud or a platform 13 of the blade 10. The respective damping materials 24 are constituted so as to be movable in the cavities 22. In association with movement of the damping materials 24 in the cavities 22 during operation of the rotating machine, the damping materials 24 repeat collision in the cavities 22 and effectively absorb vibrational energy of the blade 10 by using inertia of the damping materials 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
