To provide a rotating electrical machine having a shaft being coupled with a rotor core formed by laminating split core plates, in which the rotor core and the shaft can be fixed much more certainly while reducing the number of components and the cost.
The rotor 10 of a rotating electrical machine includes a rotor core 12 formed by laminating a plurality of split core plates 20 while arranging in the shape of a ring, a shaft 14 fitted in the rotor core 12, and a magnet 18 inserted into a magnet hole 16 formed in the split core plates 20, wherein a plurality of protrusions 24a and 24b are provided on the inner circumferential side of the split core plates 20 while displacing the centerline from the magnet hole 16 in the diameter direction, the side end portions 28 of the protrusions 24a and 24b are laminated alternately and unevenly along the axial direction of the rotor core 12, and the side end portions 28 of respective split core plates 20 laminated alternately and unevenly are fitted to the shaft 14.
