To provide a magnetic rotating operation device that is excellent in dust-proof and drip-proof performances.SOLUTION: A rotation operation device (400) has: a rotating operation member (200) that is rotatable around a predetermined axis; a base member (440) that rotatably supports the rotation operation member; a ring-shaped magnet (210) that is alternately magnetized with a plurality of magnetic poles, wherein a direction of the magnetization is parallel to the predetermined axis, and rotates centered on the predetermined axis with the rotation of the rotating operation member; a first magnetic substance (420) and a second magnetic substance (430) that are arranged opposite to magnetization surfaces of the magnet and sandwich the magnet; and a housing (10) that holds the base member. The rotation operation device can generate operating force according to a change in positions of the magnetic poles and a first teeth part (421) of the first magnetic substance and a second teeth part (431) of the second magnetic substance due to the rotation of the magnet. The magnet, first magnetic substance, and second magnetic substance are accommodated inside the housing.
