To provide a rotating toy in which a light emitting element can be emitted even without a power source or the like within a rotating body and visual interest is enhanced by the synergistic effect of spin and light emission.
On a recessed central lower surface of a pedestal 1, there is a power feeding means 2 wherein a wire 8 is wound around a magnetic substance 7. A power supply circuit 3 supplies a bidirectional current to the wire 8. A rotating body 4 is spun on the pedestal. In the rotating body 4, there is a power receiving means 25 of approximately the same structure as that of the power feeding means, and the power receiving means is connected to LED elements D1-D4 of the rotating body. The bidirectional current is imparted to the power feeding means 2, and the rotating body is spun on the pedestal. A magnetic force generated by the power feeding means is operated upon the power receiving means 25 of the rotating body 4 to make the bidirectional current flow, and the LED is emitted. The light emitting position of the LED, the number thereof, presence/non-presence of color mixture and the like are changed by the relationship of a spinning cycle of the spinning body and a light emitting cycle of the LED, thereby extremely improving the visual effect.
