PURPOSE: To provide a rotating union suitable for a high speed by interposing an annular chamber extending to a slide surface of a common slide ring between the outer periphery of a center slide ring and the inner circumference of a coaxial slide ring.
CONSTITUTION: Since slide rings 8, 11 are cooled or lubricated improperly at a high speed, for example, liquid coolant such as a cooling lubricant is supplied through a third inlet channel 23, to flow into a first annular chamber 18 through a third cylindrical chamber 19 and a second annular chamber 22. At this state, the fluid is brought into direct contact with the slide ring 8, the center slide ring 11 and a coaxial slide ring 14 and a slide ring inside support member 10. Consequently, the slide rings 8, 11, 14 are sufficiently cooled, so that the slide surfaces thereof are also lubricated. After the coolant absorbs heat, the coolant flows into an outlet channel 24 through the annular chamber 22 and the cylindrical chamber 19.
