Abstract:
To provide a rotation angle detection device which can be downsized and inexpensive, and furthermore enables detection accuracy thereof to be improved.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection device is provided, detecting the rotation angle of a rotor including predetermined two or more pole pairs in one ring form, the rotation angle detection device comprises an electric angle computation unit which computes the electric angle of the rotor, a pole pair number setting unit which sets a pole pair number to the pole pairs of the rotor, an origin pole pair detection unit which detects an origin pole pair constituting an origin from the magnetic flux strength of the pole pairs and sets an origin pole pair number, and an absolute machine angle computation unit which computes the absolute machine angle of the rotor from the electric angle, the pole pair numbers and the origin pole pair number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
