Abstract:
A dynamo-electric machine (1) is provided with a stator (31) and a rotor (40) having a rotor core disposed facing a stator core (32), the rotor (40) being supported so as to be capable of rotating relatively with respect to the stator (31). The rotor core has a permanent magnet (42) as well as a first cooling path (134), a second cooling path (135), and a third cooling path (136) that pass through in the axial direction of the rotor (40) and are arranged in a line, in the stated order, in the axial direction of the rotor (40). The cross sectional area Sb of the second cooling path (135) is smaller than the cross sectional area Sa of the first cooling path (134) and the cross sectional area Sc of the third cooling path (136). Sa and Sc are the same. The axial length Lb of the second cooling path (135) is 0.2-2 times the combined length of the axial length La of the first cooling path (134) and the axial length Lc of the third cooling path (136). Where κ = (Sa‒Sb)/(Sa), κ is such that 0.02 ≤ κ ≤ 0.09.
