Abstract:
To give users a comfortable sense of operations regardless of the rate of rotation of a knob.SOLUTION: A detection unit 51 periodically detects the signal level of a light receiving signal S0 with the signal level changing according to the rotation of a knob. A rate estimation unit 52 estimates the rate of rotation of the knob based on the signal level detected by the detection unit 51. A cycle changing unit 53 reduces the detection cycles from a first cycle T1 to a second cycle T2 when the rate of rotation of the knob estimated by the rate estimation unit 52 is larger than a rate threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
