Abstract:
To suitably detect a rotation operation of an operation dial.SOLUTION: A switch device 1 includes an operation dial 9 that can be rotated about a rotation axis X, and a rotation sensor 10. The rotation sensor 10 includes an optical sensor 7 and a light-blocking plate 86. The optical sensor 7 includes a light-emitting unit 71, and a pair of light-receiving units 72a and 72b disposed to face each other with a space from the light-emitting unit 71. The light-blocking unit 86 moves in a circumferential direction about the rotation axis X between the light-emitting unit 71 and the pair of light-receiving units 72a and 72b in conjunction with the rotation operation of the operation dial 9. The pair of light-receiving units 72a and 72b are arranged in the circumferential direction about the rotation axis X. The light-blocking plate 86 has a thickness in a radial direction of the rotation axis X and has a predetermined length in the circumferential direction about the rotation axis X. The light-blocking plate 86 is formed in a tapered shape in a manner that one end side and the other end side in the circumferential direction about the rotation axis X become thinner in the radial direction of the rotation axis X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
