PURPOSE: To allow double cutting and deep shaving of a beard while reducing decline in sharpness and biased wear on an outer blade.

CONSTITUTION: A rotation type electric shaver equipped with an outer blade 22 formed with a circular outer blade 22b integratedly linked therewith forming a flat ellipse around a recessed part 22a located on the center, being protruded to a direction opposite to this concave, an inner blade holder 24 rotated by rotation force of a motor 18, a cutter blade 25 supported by this inner blade holder 24 and rotated contactably along the inner side of the circular outer blade 22, and a spring 29 which presses this cutter blade 25 onto the inner side of the circular outer blade 22. The cutter blade 25 is supported rotatably at its gravity position onto the inner blade holder 24. This arrangement allows centrifugal force acted upon the part on the blade tip 25a side of the cutter blade 25 and the part on the opposite side thereto to be equalized and offset with the gravity position as a boundary, thus preventing the cutter blade 25 from being slanted by the action of the centrifugal force.
