Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the life of a ball bearing, by forming oil chambers in a retainer consisting of fibrous resin so as to hold lubricating oil in these oil chambers. CONSTITUTION:A retainer 1, which has pocket shaped oil chambers 3 between ball supporting holes 2, is molded by phenol system synthetic resin. After a cover plate 4 consisting of an elastic plate shaped material in a mouth part of the oil chamber 3 is press fitted to be adhesively attached enclosing the oil chamber 3 to vacuumize its inside, the inside of the phenol system synthetic resin forming the retainer 1 is impregnated with lubricating oil by immersing the retainer 1 in the lubricating oil. Next, the oil chamber 3 is filled with the lubricating oil 5 by injecting it by a syringe from the cover plate 4.
