Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for cooling by free-standing refrigerant circulation in a refrigerant container, without supplying refrigerant from the outside of a dynamo-electric machine to a field superconducting coil of a superconducting dynamo-electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotor cooler of superconducting dynamo-electric machine includes a cold storage member 13 disposed on a rotating shaft 11, a refrigerant container 14 which is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cold storage member 13, and having refrigerant internally, and refrigerant circulation paths 17a-17d communicating with two places separated in the radial direction of the refrigerant container 14, having the shapes along the field superconducting coils 16a-16d, and disposed in contact therewith, or within a predetermined range thereof. Cooling by free-standing refrigerant circulation in the refrigerant container is possible, without supplying refrigerant from the outside of the dynamo-electric machine to the field superconducting coil of a superconducting dynamo-electric machine, by circulating the refrigerant in the refrigerant container 14 and refrigerant circulation paths 17a-17d, thereby maintaining the field superconducting coils 16a-16d at a low temperature of superconducting critical temperature or less.
