Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate housing operation and assembly work by providing a means to automatically release a latch system at the time when a seat back is fallen down forward.
CONSTITUTION: At the time when a rear seat is set, a latch 11 is engaged with a striker 7. When the seat back 3 is fallen down forward, a slider 18 is pulled to the left by a control cable 21, and the latch 11 is separated from the striker 7. Simultaneously, a cam 16 is rotated in the arrow D direction, and the striker 7 is floated up from a floor panel 6. Hereby, the rear part of the seat cushion 2 is lifted up, a rod 20 is pulled out of a long hole 11a of the latch 11, and the rear seat is enclosed in a recessed part 9 of the floor panel 6. When the rod 20 is removed from the latch 11, a latch 12 returns by a spring 13.
