Abstract:
To provide a rotor for a rotary electric machine and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of improving workability at a time of manufacture with no magnet peeling even if it is a nonmagnetic rotor core.SOLUTION: The rotor for rotary electric machine has a magnet unit formed by arranging and bonding a plurality of magnets 300 having the same length as a rotor core 200 in an axial direction on an outer peripheral side of the rotor core of a nonmagnetic material having a density of 1.5 to 5.0 g/cm. The plurality of magnets is chamfered at both end edges in the axial direction, which are surfaces opposite to a surface in contact with the rotor core. An annular magnet pressing portion 400 having a claw 410, having a surface in contact with an end face in the axial direction of the rotor core and an end face in the axial direction of each of the plurality of magnets, for contacting at least a part of the chamfered portion of each of the plurality of magnets and retaining a displacement of each magnet in a direction away from the rotor core is fixed to the end face in the axial direction of the rotor core at a plurality of circumferentially spaced locations with screws 500.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
