To improve operation efficiency of a rough sorting screen by preventing a choke of a foreign matter-discharging pipe for discharging the foreign matters when removing the foreign matters from waste-paper raw material prior to production of deinked pulp.
Being a part of a ceiling plate 14 of the rough sorting screen 10, an inside discharging part 15 is provided at a position facing an inner side of a basket 12, and connected to an inside foreign-matter discharging pipe 15a, while an outside-discharging part 16 is provided at a position facing an outer side of the basket 12 and connected to an outside foreign-matter discharging part 16a. As to the foreign matters to be removed by the rough sorting screen 10, since the foreign matters having a possibility of growing to a large lump such as vinyl matters are apt to be located at the central side of a casing 11 and fine foreign matters such as fibrous state matters in the outer circumferential side of the casing, the foreign matters to be eliminated such as plastic matters are discharged from the inside discharging part 15 while the fine foreign matters to be eliminated are discharged from the outside discharging part 16.
