Abstract:

To provide a route guidance device which can increase a possibility that a user can continuously use route guidance to a destination on a portable terminal even if the user does not charge a battery of the portable terminal.

A route guidance device comprises: a portable terminal 30 which operates by power of a battery 37, and can perform route guidance to a destination and communication by a function different from the route guidance; a first determination unit 36b which, in such a state that the portable terminal 30 performs the route guidance and the communication, determines whether residual power of the battery 37 becomes less than a predetermined power while performing the route guidance to the destination; a second determination unit 36c which determines whether residual power of the battery 37 becomes less than the predetermined power while performing the route guidance to the destination, if the portable terminal 30 does not perform the communication while performing the route guidance; and a notification unit 36d which gives a predetermined notification concerning the communication to a user of the portable terminal, when the first determination unit 36b gives positive determination while the second determination unit 36c gives negative determination.
