Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side float for a boat with significantly reduced resistance during traveling, with a convenient-to-handle small-sized and light-weight structure, which secures stability of a hull during traveling by utilizing water pressure during traveling to increase a restoring force, and also has solved the problem of water splashes likely to hit a rower.SOLUTION: A side float for a boat, in a sliding type hull shape, comprises: a bottom 21 including slide surfaces 33 inclined upward from a center keel 31 to respective chines 32; and downward protrusions 34 on respective outer end parts of the sliding surfaces 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
