Abstract:

To obtain the subject polynucleotide capable of inducing an immunological response to bacteria esp. Staphylococcus and useful for any treatment and prevention using a genetic immunity treatment.

This polynucleotide is either a polynucleotide RsbV-1 (including any complementary polynucleotides thereto) having the sameness of at least 70% with a polynucleotide RsbV-1 encoding a polypeptide having the amino acids 1 to 108 of the formula or a polynucleotide having at least 15 continuous bases in the above polynucleotide. This polynucleotide may be obtained by using such a standard cloning and screening method as to subject a chromosome DNA fragment from Staphylococcus aureus WCUH29 to cloning and sequence determination and obtain clone with the full length.
