Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the infrared-light parametric oscillator which has high conversion efficiency and high output and stably outputs variable wavelength coherent light with narrow spectrum width.
CONSTITUTION: A solid state laser which oscillates laser light with a 1.047-1.0796μm wavelength is used as an exciting light source 1 and RTP crystal (which has a large permissible angle of phase matching, narrow outgoing radiation light spectrum width, and superior output characteristics for an excitation destination) is used as a nonlinear optical element 2 to constitute the parametric oscillator. A diffraction grating 5 as a dispersing element is arranged on the incidence side of the nonlinear optical element and then the spectrum width of output light can be narrower.
