Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a rubber-coated stainless steel plate which demonstrates a close adherence between a stainless steel plate and a heat-resistant rubber layer even under harsh environmental conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and humidity, and besides, can be manufactured at low cost.

CONSTITUTION: This rubber-coated stainless steel plate is composed liquid of a chemically treated coating layer formed by applying a processing liquid of phosphoric acid and silica, or a chromium compound, phosphoric acid and silica, or a chromium compound, an emulsion resin and silica applied to the surface and drying the coat, a primer layer formed by applying a resin consisting mainly of epoxy or polyester resin and baking the coat, and a heat-resistant rubber layer, in that order.
