To provide such a rubber composition of a silica blend system as is contrived to improve the abrasion resistance and besides as has together the excellent low heat build-up and vulcanizable property and can use an emulsion-polymerized polymer also as a rubber component.
This rubber composition is such that 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing 50-100 mass% of at least one styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber is blended with 10-150 pts.mass of a silica as a filler, 0.5-5.0 pts.mass of a fatty acid zinc salt, 0.2-50 pts.mass of a sulfene amide-based vulcanization accelerator and/or 0.2-50 pts.mass of a thiuram-based vulcanization accelerator, and besides is blended with a silane coupling agent of 1-20 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the silica, but is not blended with zinc oxide.
