A rubber composition contains a rubber component, and a silica, wherein the rubber component contains a structural unit based on a conjugated diene and a structural unit represented by formula (I), and is modified with a compound having a group represented by formula (II); and the average length W1 between branching particles of the silica is 30 to 400 nm. In the formula (I), X1, X2 and X3 are each independently a group represented by formula (Ia), a hydroxy group, a hydrocarbyl group or a substituted hydrocarbyl group, and at least one thereof is the group represented by formula (Ia) or a hydroxy group. In the formula (Ia), R1 and R2 are each independently a 1-6C hydrocarbyl group, a 1-6C substituted hydrocarbyl group or a silyl group, and may bond with a nitrogen atom to form a cyclic structure. In the formula (II), m is an integer of 1 to 11; and A is a functional group having a nitrogen atom.
