Abstract:

To provide: a rubber composition for a tire, capable of improving low fuel consumption, wet grip performance and abrasion resistance; and a pneumatic tire using the same.

The rubber composition for the tire contains a rubber component containing modified styrene-butadiene rubber having a structural unit derived from a specified nitrogen-containing compound in a principal chain, silica, and a specified silane coupling agent.
