To provide a natural rubber-based rubber composition for tire tread which ensures high exotherm at high temperature without deteriorating strength and improves wear resistance, therefore which is effectively used to form a tread part of a racing tire or the like.

The rubber composition for tire tread is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of a diene-based rubber comprising 80-100 wt.% of a natural rubber with 85-150 pts.wt. of a carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) of 120-320 m2/g and 80-150 pts.wt. of a tackifier resin. A tread part formed from the natural rubber-rich rubber composition for tire tread containing such large amounts of the small particle size carbon black and the tackifier resin ensures high exotherm at high temperature without deteriorating strength and improves wear resistance, therefore it is effectively used to form a tread part of a racing tire or the like.
