To provide a tire composition capable of enhancing the controllability and stability of a tire on a dry road surface without deteriorating rolling resistance, and to provide a tire that is excellent in controllability and stability on a dry road surface while keeping rolling resistance good using the rubber composition.
The rubber composition comprises a blend of (A) 10 to 130 pts.mass of an inorganic filler containing silicic acid, for 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing a modified conjugated diene polymer by 10 mass% or more, the modified conjugated diene polymer having at least one kind of functional group; (B) a silane coupling agent by 1 to 20 mass% for the inorganic filler (A); and (C) 0.5 to 10 pts.mass of a compound selected from specific esters and carboxylic acids. A tire where the rubber composition is used in a tire member such as a tread is also disclosed.
