Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition kneadable in an extremely short time in high efficiency without causing the slippery in kneading by compounding a butyl rubber and/or a solid polyisobutylene, a rubber vulcanizable with organic peroxide and an organic peroxide at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is composed of (A) a butyl rubber and/or a solid polyisobutylene consisting of an isoprene-isobutylene copolymer rubber, (B) a rubber vulcanizable with an organic peroxide such as ethylene/alpha- olefin copolymer rubber and (C) an organic peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide. The weight ratio of A/B is 5/95 to 40/60 and that of C/(A+B) is (0.5-10)/100. The objective vulcanized rubber composition is produced preferably by vulcanizing the above rubber composition.
