To obtain the subject composition capable of holding a thermal ageing- resistant performance, ordinary physical properties, and compression permanent set by adding an organic peroxide and a specific crosslinking auxiliary to a specific acrylic rubber, etc.
This rubber composition is obtained by adding (B) 0.1-15 pts.wt. of an organic peroxide (e.g. dicurmylperoxide) as a crosslinking agent, (C) 0.1-15 pts.wt. of a crosslinking agent selected from a quinonedioxide compound, a xylylene bisallyl and a diamleimide compound (e.g. N,N-m-phenylene dimaleimide) and, if necessary, (D) additives such as a filler, a plasticizer, a processing auxiliary and an antioxidant to (A) (i) a proxide-crosslinkable acrylic rubber preferably having unsaturated bonds in the molecular or (ii) a mixture of 1-99wt.% of the component (i) with 99-1wt.% of a peroxide-crosslinkable fluororubber (e.g. iodine-containing vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene dinary copolymer fluororubber).
