To provide a rubber contact member, having no thermal deterioration and corrosion, despite of the flow of a high electric current in a movable conductive contact.

This rubber contact member 1 is composed of a pressing part 2 having a protruded part 5, swollen downward from the bottom surface of the contact member 1, a skirtlike thin thickness part 2 connected in range with the pressing part 2, and a base part 4 connected in range with the thin thickness part 3. At least the protruded part 5 is composed of a thermal conductive rubberlike elastic body having a heat conductivity of 1.0×10-3-2.5×10-3cal/ cm.sec°C, and a volume resistivity of 5.0×1014-10×1014Ω.cm.
