Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to improve the compression set of the obtained rubber-like copolymer, by copolymerizing a monomer having a specified crosslinking group with a nitrile rubber.

CONSTITUTION: This rubber-like copolymer comprises 10W60wt% conjugated diene component units (A), 10W40wt% α,β-unsaturated nitrile compound component units (B), 10W60wt% unsaturated carboxylic ester components (C) of the formula (wherein R1 is H or methyl and R2 is a 1W8C alkyl) and 0.1W20wt% dihydrodicyclopentenyl group-containing unsaturated carboxylic ester component units and has a number-average MW (Mn) (in terms of polystyrene) of 5W1,200,000. This rubber-like copolymer can be obtained by radical-polymerizing of said component units AWD in an aqueous medium.
