Title:
RUBBING MATERIAL FOR SHIP MADE OF FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5730676
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To both decrease shape resistance of a ship and easily perform its preparation, by using the rear part of a stripe in the ship bottom for a rubbing material mounting base, mounting a rubbing material onto an extension line of the stripe and decreasing the quantity of stepped parts formed in the ship bottom.

CONSTITUTION: The ship body rear part of a stripe 3 as an inner chine of the ship bottom 2 of a ship body 1 made of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) is used for mounting bases 30 of rubbing materials 5, and the rubbing material 5 is mounted on an extension line of the stripe 3. Because mounting of the rubbing material is only required on the stripe without the necessity for separately forming a stepped part for mounting the rubbing material, shape of the ship bottom can be simply formed to simplify lamination work of an FRP. Further a few amount of turbulence is caused in a stream line by the rubbing material at sailing also with a small increase of shape resistance.
