PURPOSE: To provide a ruby composing processing apparatus generating no defect in the size of a ruby character or a ruby character arranging position and capable of avoiding the lowering of working efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: A form determining part 6 determining the size of a ruby character on the basis of the size of a character to be made a ruby and an arrangement determining part 7 analyzing the relation between the number of the characters to be made ruby and that of the ruby characters and determining the arranging position of the ruby character to that of the character to be made ruby are provided.
