Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent original carrier defects and the stain on a surface due to the static charge on contact glass.
CONSTITUTION: The discharging member 20 composed of a discharging cloth 20a almost as long as a first running body 6 in a longitudinal direction and a holding member 20b supporting this discharging cloth 20 and being fixed to a lamp bracket 8 is fixed to the first running body 6. Within an image reading unit 3, the tip of the discharging cloth 20a is made to be arranged closely to a contact glass surface or be abutted on the glass surface.
