Abstract:
To provide rupture dividing method and device of a connecting rod which can obtain an excellent fracture surface and achieve high circularity, and which are extremely advantageous in cost.
A mandrel 1 which is a rupture dividing tool is engaged into a crank pin hole 103 of a connecting rod 100, and a big end 101 is broken by applying a breaking load to the big end 101 in the longitudinal direction of the connecting rod 100 through the rupture dividing tool. Each guide pin 15 is inserted respectively into a pair of bolt insertion holes 108 into which each fastening bolt 105 is to be fitted, and the breaking load is applied substantially in parallel with each guide pin 15.
