To provide a rust preventive composition which has excellent heat resistance, and exhibits excellent rust preventability to both of ferrous metals and nonferrous metals.
The rust preventive composition comprises a composite body obtained by intercalating aniline or a polymer of its derivative into the space between the layers in layered phosphate, and compounding them. As the layered phosphate, dihydrogen aluminum tripolyphosphate, titanium phosphate, zirconium phosphate, tin phosphate or the like are preferable. The aniline or the polymer of its derivative intercalated into the space between the layers in the layered phosphate can be the one obtained by previously intercalating the aniline or its derivative, and thereafter performing polymerization. Further, the composite body can comprise organic sulfonic acid such as dodecylbenezenesulfonic acid, toluenesulfonic acid and α-olefin sulfonic acid in the polymer.
