To provide a saddle stitching book in which illegal carry-out prevention dealing suitable for a mass production is executed without outstanding a magnetic material, and a method for manufacturing the same.

The saddle stitching book binds text pages and a cover are bound together by a wire. In this book, as at least one wire, the magnetic material having a double structure of a magnetic layer including a high permeability/low coercive force and a second magnetic layer including an intermediate permeability/high coercive force is used. A diameter of the wire is in a range of 0.3 to 1.2 mm, and a length of the wire to be observed from its backbone side is in a range of 10 to 20 mm. The method for manufacturing the saddle stitching book comprises the step of using the magnetic material having the double structure of the magnetic layer including the high permeability/low coercive force and the second magnetic layer including the intermediate permeability/high coercive force as the wire of a binding part of a saddle stitching bookbinding machine.
