PURPOSE: To improve the safety by positioning a resin board in a vertical groove formed on each opposite side of columns erected at the right and left sides of an automatic machine, in such a way as freely movable vertically via a wire, a block and a balancer, and providing a resin board stopper in the through-hole of the columns formed orthogonally with the groove, in such a way as capable of reciprocating motion on the operation of a cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: When operation, maintenance, a check or the like is undertaken before starting automatic operation, a resin board 3 is manually made to slide vertically, thereby opening a cover. The resin board 3 is connected to a balancer 6a via a pair of wires 4a and 5a respectively, thereby enabling the board 3 to be stopped at a vertical arbitrary position. The board 3 is also stored under a column la. At the time of starting the automatic operation of an automatic machine, the board 3 is manually made to slide from a stored position vertically upward. The cover is thereby closed and the automatic operation is started. As a result, a signal is outputted from the automatic machine and a stopper 8a projects from a through-hole 9a on the operation of a cylinder 7a for engagement with the lower end of the board 3. According to this constitution, the automatic machine or robot can be prevented from stopping due to the unexpected opening of the cover.
