To provide a safety cover that protects an operator from a scattered material and does not cause weed clogging and a bush cutter equipped with the same.

The safety cover 10 is equipped with an upper plate 11 for covering the upper side of a side facing the operator side of a cutting blade 7 attached to a bush cutter and a side plate 20 extended from the peripheral part of the upper plate downward and enclosing the outer periphery of the cutting blade. A divider plate 11c extended in the cutting blade rotation direction R side is formed inside the side plate 20. A sloping surface part 21 adjoining the cutting blade is formed below the near end part 10b of cutting blade rotation of the upper plate 11, the upper plate 11 at the tip side is made high and the upper plate 11 low at a basal end part by the divider plate as a border. The rotation track L of the outer periphery of the cutting blade is made to pass on the near end part 10b at the tip side of the divider plate, the inlet 27 of a scattered material is formed and a delivery route 30 for sending out the scattered material passed through the inlet 27 is formed between the divider plate and the side plate 20.
