Title:
SAFETY COVER FOR MOUNTAIN-CLIMBING BOOT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005224403
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a safety cover preventing an unexpected accident caused by catching a climbing iron mounted on a boot of one foot by fixing strings of a climbing iron mounted on the boot of the other foot in climbing a mountain with the climbing irons mounted on the boots.

A cover body 1 is formed by continuing a back part 2 formed by being curved to cover the waist part of the boot with a plate material such as a single hard synthetic resin plate, a metal plate and a leather having strength even under a low temperature and a cover part 3 covering the inside face of the boot. This boot is provided with the fixing strings 4 and 5 detouring the front part of the boot between the back part of the cover body 1 and the front end of the cover part 3 to cover the cover body 1 to the boot, and a locking string 6 detouring the bottom of the boot from the lower end of the cover part 3 and locked to the fixed shoelaces 4 and 5, and is firmly fixed. This constitution prevents the claws of the climbing iron mounted on the boot worn in one foot from being caught by a shoelace of the boot worn on the other foot or the strings for installing the climbing iron.
