PURPOSE: To prevent bursting of a hydraulic mechanism by keeping the specified hydraulic pressure through a plunger pressurized by a pressurized spring, and also, enable absorption of the amount of expansion of working fluid by heating, in a hydraulic slow descending apparatus being used in the case where evacuees escape and evacuated at emergency from a multistory building.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic slow descending device is one for letting down evacuees from an elevation, making use of a suspension wire, and it comprises a hook 7 to mount a safety belt, an operation handle 8, a crank shaft 9, a drum 10, a piston 10, a hydraulic circuit, etc. In this case, a device 1 for absorbing expansion of working fluid by heat is annexed to it such that it communicates with a cylinder fitted with a piston 11. This device 1 pressurizes a plunger 3 by a pressurized spring 2, and blocks a passage leading to the cylinder. And, in case that the working fluid expands by heat while maintaining the specified maximum oil pressure, the plunger 3 goes up while compressing the pressurized spring 2, whereby this can absorb the amount of increased oil.
