PURPOSE: To improve safety of a door, by such constitution that an obstacle detector sensor is provided in an alarm area of the periphery of the automobile door and a door driving gear is stopped or reversely rotated by the output of the sensor through a switching circuit in a control circuit.

CONSTITUTION: If existence of an obstacle is detected in an alarm area in the rear of a door by a sensor 21, its output is input to a switching circuit 23 in a door driving control circuit 15 to switch the circuit and disconnect a door opening switch 13a from a forward rotational terminal 11a of a motor 11. Accordingly, even if the door opening switch 13a is operated, the door is not opened. While an obstacle, if detected on the way of door opening, causes the switching circuit 23 to turn off forward rotation 13a-11a, and a circuit 13a-11b is connected to perform reverse rotation. Accordingly, the door is closed. In this constitution, only when the obstacle is not existent in an alarm area of the door opening, the door can be opened to improve safety of the door.
