Abstract:
The present invention relates to a safety device which controls the opening and closing of a door by means of safety shoes when a hand of a person gets caught in the gap between the elevator door and door frame, thereby preventing the hand from being wedged therein, the safety device comprising: embedded boxes (20) in the door frame (10), along the length of both sides of the door frame (10) adjacent to the elevator door (D); a safety shoe (30) which is disposed along the full length of each embedded box (20) so as to allow moving therein, and which can protrude out of the embedded box and retract into same; one or more rotational connecting bars (40) disposed inside each embedded box (20) and connected to the safety shoe (30); a switch (SW) which is installed inside each embedded box (20), and which is not connected when the safety shoe (30) is protruding to the outside and is connected when the safety shoe (30) is retracted; and an elevator controller (EC) and a door controller (DC) connected to each switch.
