To provide a seat of a passenger airplane with a safe, lightweight and strong safety hat fit for the size of the head of a passenger without bulking in order to protect the head of the passenger.

This safety hat for the passenger of the airplane is obtained by laminating two materials (1) of a layered structure in which a suitable number of sheets of cushioning materials such as Aircap (trade mark) prepared by sealing bubbles in a film made of a synthetic resin are superimposed. The platy safety hat has an opening (2) for introducing the head and is prepared by bonding the periphery into a baglike shape so as to form a trapezoidal space (3) having a slope and a height fit for the standard dimensions of the human head. Furthermore, handles (4) for wearing the safety hat are provided.
