Abstract:
To reduce viscous drag such as friction drag and pressure drag that a hull submerged part in contact with water receives from water when a sailing body, such as a ship and a submarine with a relatively slow ship speed and a large viscous drag, moves.SOLUTION: An eddy current generation is suppressed by rectifying a water flow at a stern of a sailing body 1 adopting a symmetrical wing shape such as NACA0020 or an approximate shape for a water line surface shape of a hull submerged part 2 of the sailing body 1, especially the water line surface shape on a stern side, and hereby the viscous drag due to the shape of the hull submerged part 2 is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
