Abstract:
To continuously supply melted salt to a mold at a downstream side.
This melting furnace 1 for melting the granular or powdered salt, includes a crucible 25 for storing the supplied salt in a melted state, heating means 35 for heating the crucible 25, and a bar 41 disposed in a discharge hole 28 vertically formed on a bottom part 27 of the crucible 25, movably up and down in the axial direction, and opening and closing the discharge hole 28 by being separated from and kept into contact with the same at its tip part, and an inner face 25a of the crucible 25 is made of a siliceous material, and at least a surface of the bar 41 is made of the siliceous material.
