Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a salt shrinkage treatment that can shrink silk yarn uniformly.
SOLUTION: Silk yarn is brought into contact with a salt shrinkage solution in the form of thread to carry out the salt shrinkage treatment. In a preferred embodiment, the salt shrinkage solution is a calcium nitrate solution with a specific gravity of 1.45-1.50 and the silk yarn is brought into contact with the shrinkage solution at 50-70°C for ≥30 minutes.
