Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the handling of a sample analyzer to such an extent that it is usable by a doctor or a nurse, to perform its downsizing and weight reduction so that it can be easily transported to the site of diagnosis and medical treatment, to make it quieter by suppressing noises, to make its inspection safer and easier, and especially to acquire highly accurate analysis result by using a simple structure.
SOLUTION: This specimen analyzer is equipped with a sample preparation part for preparing a sample for measurement by using a sample collected from a sample container, an analysis part for analyzing the prepared sample, and a fluid circuit for preparing and analyzing the sample. The fluid circuit is equipped with first and second liquid storage parts for storing therein first and second liquids, respectively, a third liquid storage part, a single syringe pump, and a liquid discharge part. Valves and flow paths are connected so that the first liquid is sucked into the syringe pump while the second liquid is transferred to the third liquid storage part by the sucking motion of the syringe pump, and that the first and second liquids are discharged by prescribed amounts from the discharge part by the discharging motion of the syringe pump.
