To provide a sample collection device which is usable even in a harder stratum.SOLUTION: A sample collection device has: a head part 2 which has an opening 211, and has arranged therein a screw for blocking the opening 211 by tightening; an outer pipe 4 continuously provided in the head part 2; an inner pipe 3 which is stored in the outer pipe 4 and stores a sample therein; and a shoe part 5 which is arranged opposite to the head part 2 of the outer pipe 4 and supports the inner pipe 3 in the outer pipe 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
